Base — Backhaul & Assumptions

Capacity calculation: GB Consumed → Average Mbps → Busy-Hour Multiplier → Peak Mbps → Capacity Threshold
Example: 1000 = 1 Gbps symmetrical
Capacity warning threshold. Example: 70% of a 1 Gbps circuit = 700 Mbps.
Used to convert monthly GB consumption into average Mbps.
Peak demand = average Mbps × this multiplier. Start with 1.5 and refine using real traffic data.

How the capacity calculation works

The model first estimates how much purchased data is actually consumed. Monthly consumption is converted into continuous average Mbps. The Busy-Hour Multiplier then estimates peak network demand. Peak demand is compared with the Maximum Desired Peak Utilization threshold of the dedicated backhaul.
